1. Who We Are

Dauntless (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a consulting and AI operations firm based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We provide AI literacy training, strategic consulting, and agentic system development services to public, private, and nonprofit organizations.

2. What We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily send to us by email, booking request, or direct message, including your name, email address, organization, and the content of your message. The website contact form opens an email draft; it does not store submissions in a website database today.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To respond to your inquiry and conduct a potential engagement

• To comply with legal obligations

Free assessments

You can see an assessment score without giving us contact details. The AI Readiness Snapshot also provides a working plan, an editable checklist and a text download without contact details. Answers, optional readiness context and checklist edits stay in this tab's session storage until you choose Start again or close the tab. Responsible Use answers are also cleared after its PDF opens successfully. If your browser blocks session storage, you can still use the tools, but progress may not survive a reload. Anonymous start and completion events record the tool and event only, with no contact details, answers, context or scores.

If you request a PDF, we store your name, work email, role, consent choices, selected answers and calculated results in our Notion Sales Pipeline. For the AI Readiness Snapshot, this includes any optional context you provide, including workflow and tool descriptions. Keep personal and confidential details out of those descriptions. Checklist edits stay in your browser and are included only in your local text download; they are not submitted with the PDF request. The PDF opens on this page for viewing and downloading. For a Vision & Decision Lab booking, we also store the organisation, decision text and any attribution you provide. We use these records to fulfil the request, send one personal follow-up about it and support human review. A separate, optional checkbox records whether you also want the Dauntless newsletter. We do not automatically enrol anyone or send marketing messages from this form.

The current AI Readiness Snapshot generates its scores, evidence, recommendations and PDF using fixed assessment rules. Your contact details, answers and optional context are not sent to an AI model. Free-text descriptions are included only in the local working plan and, if you request the PDF, in the report and consented Notion record. The Responsible Use PDF does not use an AI model. Earlier versions of the readiness report used Anthropic's Claude model through Vercel AI Gateway for explanatory wording; this no longer applies to the current assessment.

We retain those assessment and booking records for up to 12 months after submission. To request access, correction or deletion, email craig@craigmarchand.com.

4. Client Confidentiality

All client engagement information is held in strict confidence. We do not reference, discuss, or use client materials, findings, or deliverables beyond the scope of the engagement without explicit written consent. Standard NDAs are available on request.

5. Data Retention

We retain contact messages for up to 24 months for engagement tracking purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing craig@craigmarchand.com.

6. Cookies

The free tools send the anonymous events described above through a first-party endpoint. That endpoint does not set an analytics cookie. The public website does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at craig@craigmarchand.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of this site constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
